Corporate Non-Owned[PDF 24KB] This application applies to corporations and business's who may charter aircraft, or otherwise have executives or employees fly on aircraft that are not owned by the corporation.   These policies can be broader in the types aircraft covered provided they are only operated by pilots furnished by the aircraft owner such as chartered aircraft. With chartered aircraft the exposures are mainly contingent liabilities since the charter customer is not directly involved with the operation and maintenance of the aircraft. If the pilot is an employee of the corporation being insured, coverage may still be available, but would be rated based on the pilot's experience and may be limited to certain types of aircraft.   When completing this application is is important to incude information about the charter company and aircraft being used, including the limits of liablity carried on those aircraft.  A certificate of insurance from the charter company is recommended.
